Opening Day Demonstration 2017 is only 3 weeks away! This year we hope you will join the Native community, our supporters, and Cleveland American Indian Movement in the continuing fight against racism in Cleveland and northeast Ohio.

2016 World Series demonstration at Cleveland Baseball - Final games

The final games of the 2016 World Series starts tomorrow in Cleveland: Tuesday, November 1st and Wednesday, November 2nd. Join Cleveland American Indian Movement and the Native community down at the baseball stadium to help us wrap-up another season of protesting Cleveland Baseball's "Indians" team name and "Wahoo" logo. The world has been watching Cleveland intently during these last few weeks and we want to make a good showing for our final demonstrations.

The World Series comes to Cleveland and begins Tuesday, October 25. Join Cleveland American Indian Movement and the Native community in speaking out against the Cleveland team name and "Wahoo" logo. After the Toronto lawsuit and the attention brought by the Blue Jays to our cause, the world is watching Cleveland. Help us convince Cleveland and MLB that the time is right to make the change and end Cleveland's shame!

Events for September 2016

This month Cleveland American Indian Movement is pleased to announce the reinterment of ancestors from the Engle-Eiden site in Lorain County. This private ceremony will see 46 ancestors laid to rest on their original land, where they will be protected and remain undisturbed. We thank all involved who have made this momentous occasion possible, and who have helped us fulfill our commitment to these ancestors.

TREMONT POWWOW - August 13, 1pm-6pm
Lincoln Park (W 14th Street between Kenilworth and Starkweather Avenues), Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland

Dancing, drumming and food at this mini-powwow sponsored by the American Indian Education Center and Cleveland AIM. Free and open to the public. Join us in the park for this afternoon event.
